You Cannot Update Because WordPress 5.2 Requires PHP Version 5.6.20 Or Higher. You Are Running Version 5.5.22. This is for  WordPress  users who bought domain names from  iPage  only. If you are trying to update your WordPress (2019) and this message is kept appearing “You cannot update because WordPress 5.2 requires PHP version 5.6.20 or higher. You are running version 5.5.22.” It was so easy to do it. I was stuck with it for a long time on how to do it. If you have the same problem as me, don’t be afraid just click on this  iPage link . After that you can go back to your  WordPress site log on  and click “update” again, then the problem will be resolved.
