2 Things Must Be Done Before Using 1634D Brother Serger

Make Sure to Oil the Machine before Use I bought a  Brother 1634D  Serger recently, and I was very excited to use it. So, I skimmed through the  manua l to get my serger up and running. I was sewing away; then I started to notice the machine started to make a sound that grew louder and louder. I just want to be honest with you, I almost took the machine back to the  store , because the machine kept making so much noise. Then I was curious. What was wrong with it? So, I grabbed the  manual,  and this time I read it from start to finish. And there, on the second paragraph of page 57, under  REMARKS , it stated:  “Be sure to  oil  your  sewing machine  before use. Always clean the lint off your  machine  before you apply  oil .” How Often to Oil the Machine? Oil  the  machine  once or twice a month for normal use.
