CLO 3D | How to use parametric pattern tool in clo 3d for a dress | auto...

Hi everyone, welcome to today's tutorial on how to use the parametric pattern tool in CLO 3D. My name is Rose Willey, and I'll be walking you through the process of creating a beautiful dress using this powerful auto-pattern-making tool.

Step 1: Introduction to Parametric Pattern Terms

Before we begin, let's go over some of the key terms used in the parametric pattern tool.
The "body front" has two options: symmetry and half symmetry.
The "body back" also has two options: symmetry and half symmetry.
And the "body sleeve" has two options: on or off, and half symmetry.

Step 2: Creating the Bodices

Option #1: Creating the front and back bodices
Option #2: Creating the front and back bodices with symmetry
Option #3: Creating the front and back bodices with a sleeve

Step 3: Removing Unnecessary Patterns

Using the transform pattern tool, we'll remove any patterns that we don't need for our dress.

Step 4: Checking the Sleeve Measurements

Using the edit pattern tool, we'll check the armhole and sleeve cap length to make sure they're accurate.

Step 5: Modifying the Sleeve

Option #4: Creating the front and back bodices with a sleeve

We'll modify the sleeve by adjusting the following measurements in centimeters:
  • Length cap to opening: 60
  • Cap Height: 15.70
  • Cap Width: 18
  • Bicep Width: 36
  • Sleeve Opening: 24

Step 6: Modifying the Dress

Finally, we'll adjust the pattern outline to 55 cm to complete our dress. And that's it! I hope you found this tutorial helpful and that you're now able to create beautiful dresses using the parametric pattern tool in CLO 3D. Thanks for watching, and happy designing!
