Important tips for MacOS users:

To make the binding tool work in CLO 3D on MacOS, you need to double-click twice.

Technique 1: Neck binding with both sides

  1. Hide the avatar by clicking on the Avatar Icon and selecting the avatar to hide.
  2. Zoom in and pan the view slightly before applying the binding.
  3. Create a fabric for the binding and give it a name.
  4. Copy the fabric by selecting it and create a duplicate with the same name for the binding.
  5. Change the color of the duplicate fabric to a whitish shade and click "Done".
  6. Select the binding tool and start clicking on the blue points along the neck area.
  7. Double-click twice to ensure the binding is applied on MacOS.
  8. Check the property editor to confirm if the binding is applied.
  9. Use the select binding tool to hover the mouse and check if the yellow line appears, indicating the binding is applied to the neck area.
  10. Additionally, apply the binding to the shoulder seam and side seam, taking advantage of the new feature in version 7.1 of CLO.

Technique 2:

  1. Shoulder and side seam bindingSelect the binding tool and start clicking on the blue points along the shoulder seam.
  2. Double-click twice to apply the binding on MacOS.
  3. In the property editor, change the binding type to "over" and adjust the width to 0.9 centimeters.
  4. Select the binding fabric and enable both segment A and segment B for topstitching.
  5. Simulate the garment by pressing the spacebar and stop the simulation by pressing it again.
  6. Repeat the same process for the side seam binding.

Technique 3: Shirt hem binding with both sides

  1. Select the binding tool and click on the edge of the hem to start applying the binding.
  2. Click on each blue point along the hem without double-clicking.
  3. Rotate the garment if needed and double-click twice on the final point to complete the binding on MacOS.
  4. In the property editor, change the binding type to "both" and adjust the width to 1 centimeter.
  5. Select the binding fabric and enable topstitching for both segment A and segment B.
  6. Simulate the garment and adjust the topstitch color if desired.
  7. Check for any issues and make necessary adjustments, such as fixing overlapping bindings or adjusting topstitch colors.
Remember to use the select binding tool or select/move tool to better visualize the bindings. There you have it, Designistas! I hope you guys found this little useful and remember to give me thumbs up and follow me on encoder fashion for more awesome tips like this. Thanks, for watching guys😍
