Important tips for MacOS users:
To make the binding tool work in CLO 3D on MacOS, you need to double-click twice.
Technique 1: Neck binding with both sides
- Hide the avatar by clicking on the Avatar Icon and selecting the avatar to hide.
- Zoom in and pan the view slightly before applying the binding.
- Create a fabric for the binding and give it a name.
- Copy the fabric by selecting it and create a duplicate with the same name for the binding.
- Change the color of the duplicate fabric to a whitish shade and click "Done".
- Select the binding tool and start clicking on the blue points along the neck area.
- Double-click twice to ensure the binding is applied on MacOS.
- Check the property editor to confirm if the binding is applied.
- Use the select binding tool to hover the mouse and check if the yellow line appears, indicating the binding is applied to the neck area.
- Additionally, apply the binding to the shoulder seam and side seam, taking advantage of the new feature in version 7.1 of CLO.
Technique 2:
- Shoulder and side seam bindingSelect the binding tool and start clicking on the blue points along the shoulder seam.
- Double-click twice to apply the binding on MacOS.
- In the property editor, change the binding type to "over" and adjust the width to 0.9 centimeters.
- Select the binding fabric and enable both segment A and segment B for topstitching.
- Simulate the garment by pressing the spacebar and stop the simulation by pressing it again.
- Repeat the same process for the side seam binding.
Technique 3: Shirt hem binding with both sides
- Select the binding tool and click on the edge of the hem to start applying the binding.
- Click on each blue point along the hem without double-clicking.
- Rotate the garment if needed and double-click twice on the final point to complete the binding on MacOS.
- In the property editor, change the binding type to "both" and adjust the width to 1 centimeter.
- Select the binding fabric and enable topstitching for both segment A and segment B.
- Simulate the garment and adjust the topstitch color if desired.
- Check for any issues and make necessary adjustments, such as fixing overlapping bindings or adjusting topstitch colors.
