Add an Invisible Zipper to the Back Pleated Skirt to a Real-life PDF Sewing Patterns CLO 3D

Hi everyone, my name is Rose. In this video, I will show you some tips and tricks on how to add an invisible zipper onto the back of this pleated skirt as well as turn this digital skirt into real-life sewing patterns. In addition, I will show you how to check how much fabric is used for this skirt. Adding the invisible zipper to the pleated skirt
  1. Converting this 3D skirt to a PDF sewing patterns
  2. Adding seam allowances
  3. Exporting as an (Adobe PDF) patterns for printing
  4. Checking how much fabric is used for this skirt

CLO 3D Patterns vs Real-Life Sewing Patterns

CLO 3D Patterns:

  • we have 12 pleats in totaled
  • 4 pieces
  • Side zipper
This skirt pattern is also possible for real-life sewing, but it is less common.

Real Life Sewing Patterns:

Essential to Have:

  • 12 pleats in totaled
  • 2 pieces
  • Back zipper
  • Facings or a fold for the waistband
  • Seam allowances

Prepping the Patterns

  1. Change the particle distance to 20
  2. Turn on high-quality rendering
  3. Turn on Thick Texture Surface

Apply a Zipper on the Back Skirt

  1. Cut the back skirt in the center back
  2. Cut the waistband in the center back
  3. Apply the zipper notches 17 - 4 = 13 cm
  4. Applying the zipper
  5. Change the zipper to the invisible zipper
  6. Merch the skirt patterns
  7. Merch the waistband patterns
  8. Simulate
  9. Change the color of the skirt to blue
  10. Apply a wool fabric if necessary to get a realistic effect
  11. Rendering the skirtApply particle distances to 10 or 7
  12. Apply Thickness rendering to 1.5
