How to Change the Avatar Size in CLO3D
Avatar Tips: Key points about selecting the avatar size for your skirt. Since this video is about drafting the skirt for yourself, we want to see how the skirt fits on the avatar before printing the pattern in PDF format. We just want to see an approximate fit.
Three Important Points for Selecting the Avatar Size
- Your heigh
- You waist circumference
- Your hip circumference
For example, my Total Height is 150 cm, and compare to the size chart for a Petite size chart is 158.75 cm (see the size chart and alvanon.com link below).
Similar to my waist and my hip circumferences: My waist circumference is 80 cm and the Petite Curvy Size 12 is 79.25 cm. My hip circumference is 106 cm and the Petite Curvy Size 12 is 106 cm.
Note: this is just an approximately fitting for this do-it-yourself aline skirt if you want to turn this into a perfect fit for manufacture. Be sure to produce several samples to get the perfect fit that meets your need. You can purchase this A-line Skirt CLO3D Project via the Gumroad link.
To select the skirt avatar, I’m going to the Library window, then I’m going to double-click on the Avatar folder. Next, I’m going to come down here to the Asset tab, and double-click on this Female_V2 to open. Once again, I’m going to double-click on this FV2_Feifei.avt to load her onto the clo work-space (please see this step-by-step video on how to change the avatar size).
This is very important, I’m going to change her size to Petite Curvy Size 12. To change the Avatar Size, I’m going to this Size folder and double-click on it to open it. Next, I’m going to double-click on this US_ASTM_Petite_Curvy to open. Finally, I’m going to once again, double-click on this US_ASTM_Petite_Curvy_12.avs to apply the size onto this Avatar.
