How to Change Shoe Color Quick and Easy in Clo3d 2020 Tutorial

By the end of this video, you will know how to change the color of the shoes as well as the know-how to save and reload the shoes for future use in CLO3D 2020.

Go to Avatar in the Library panel under Favorite double click on it to open the folders > go to Female_V1 below the Library Panel double click on it to open > go to the Avatar below hover your mouse over the Avatar and you will see the Avatar’s name appears to the right, double click on the Avatar names FV1_Kelly.avt to load her onto the workspaces.

Next, go to the Select/Move tool in the 3D toolbar, and click on it to select. Then, click on one of the shoes to select it. After that go to the Property Editor Panel, under Basic Parameters below that is a Texture and to the right is a square swatch, click on it once. This will bring you, the user’s window. Next, right-click on cap_black.jpg > Open with > Adobe PhotoShop 2020 >

Now, go to Google.com, type in Google Images, then select Images > fabric.com. Then, right below the search bar is Tools click on it. Next, go to Size and click on the pointing down arrow, and select “Large.” Be sure to click on the Search button again. Then, scroll down to the swatch images and click on once to enlarge the image and right click then select Save Images as… then navigate to save the image to your pc after that click on Save.

Now go to your save image > right-click > Open with > Adobe PhotoShop 2020. Be sure to unlock the layer by clicking on the lock to unlock. Now, go to crop tool click on it to select and you will see the crop tool is active, click on the edge of the swatch and drag toward the center to crop the area you don’t want. Then press enter or click on the checkmark to confirm.

Next, go to the Move Tool and click on it to select. Then, click on the swatch and drag it and drop it into the shoe watch window. Be sure the new swatch is the same size as the shoe swatch.

Next, go to File > Export As, this will you the Export As window, Format: JPG, Quality: 100, Note: just leave everything the same. Click on the Export button, this will bring you back to the CLO user. I’m going to name the file Star. Then click on Save.

Now, I’m back with CLO3D. I’m going to select both of Kelly's shoes click on the first shoe and press down Shift and click on another shoe. After both shoes are selected, go to the Property Editor Panel under Basic Parameters, right below that is Texture to the right is a square swatch, click on one. This brings you to the CLO User window, select the swatch that you created earlier, then click Open. You can leave both of the shoes heals as they are, or you change them as well by repeating the steps like we changed the shoes. Now, we just changed the color of the shoes in CLO3D.

Almost done guys, I’m going to save her for future use, to do so, go to File > Save As > Avatar, then name her Kelly with Star Shoes. Next, I’m going to close CLO3D by going to File > Quit or clicking on the X on the right corner of the CLO window.

After saving the Avatar, now, I’m going to load her back into the CLO workspace: to do so, go to File > Add > Avatar and click on it. This will bring you the CLO user, select the Avatar you saved earlier, in this case, the Avatar I saved earlier called Kelly with Star Shoes. Click on the file, then click on the Open button to load her. There you go. Now you have perfect shoes to match the outfits or the dress on the Avatar.
