Hi, I’m Rose Willey from Encoder Fashion, I’m working from home right now. And I have a tip to make designing funds easy for you. Here’s how to export Real/Full-Size Patterns in CLO3D.
Exporting Real/Full-Size Patterns in CLO3D. The first way is to be able to export your real size patterns from CLO3D.
I’m going to File and then clicking on Export and Adobe (PDF). I’m going to name the file Princess Blue Dress with Wings. Next, I’m going to navigate to my folder, and then I’m going to click on Save. That will bring up a window.
Below the basics:
- Scale: Millimeter
- %: 100%
- Rotation: Do Not Rotate
Below are the Page Margins:
- Left: 5 cm
- Right: 5 cm
- Top: 5 cm
- Bottom: 5 cm
Below are the Options:

Below are the Show Images:
- Check Graphic box
Below is the Show Add’l Information:
- Check Pattern Annotations box
- Check Line Lengths box
- Check Grain-lines box
- Check the 2D Measurements box.
After that, I’m going to click on OK to confirm. And here we can see my patterns have been exported!
Option 2: Export Real/Full-Size Patterns in CLO3D
The next option is to export the real/full-size patterns in CLO3D. I’m going to go up to Object Browser, and then click on Add, and then, I’m going to name this fabric All-Pattern.
Next, I’m going to select all the pattern pieces, by going to this Transform Pattern Tool. Click on it to select, then the marquee selects all the pattern pieces. After that, I’m going to click on this pointing-down arrow to apply the fabric to all the pattern pieces.
And here we can see my patterns have been applied with this fabric. Now, I’m going to the Simulation Window, and I’m going to click on this Arrow, then select Print Layout.
That will bring up a window. So, there are a few things we want to happen in this Printing Snapshot.
- Reset to Default Arrangement
- Width: 58 inches
- Show Texture Grid Repeat
- Nest All Pattern: 0.5
Reset to Default Arrangement
I’m going to Right-click on the background and select Reset to Default Arrangement.
Width: 58 inches
I’m going to come to Roll under the Property Editor and change the width to 58 inches. It depends on the most common fabric width in your country. For example, in the US the most common fabric width is 58 inches.
It does not matter that much since we export these patterns as a pdf sewing template, but it gives you an idea of how much fabric you need for your design.
Show Texture Grid Repeat
I’m going to Right-click and select Show Texture Grid Repeat.
Nest All Pattern: 0.5
I’m going to Right-click and select Nest All Pattern. That will bring up a window. I’m going to leave everything as is except Buffer Spacing: type in .5 and click on Proceed. After that, I’m going to click on Close. That will bring up a window
